So this is the new year, and I dont feel any different

I went to the Natural History Museum, with my brazilian friend. We had a great time and really I didn't know that he was 24, I always thought he was my age. But then his age explains why I always found him so mature. I always thought he was a mature 19 year old boy. But who am I kidding theres no such thing as mature 19 year old guys, just like there's no Santa, Leprechauns, smart blondes and all those other fairy-tale characters.

Some educational pictures for you:
The first is some dinasaurs, the second is the entrance to the zone about earth, the third is a lifesized fake bluewhale, and the last picture is of my brazilian friend.

Other than that I haven't really done much besides shopping. And worrying about my trip on Saturday. I don't know what to pack, since I am going to my home country, where the rest of my possesions are then I will probably want to bring some more stuff over, like shoes and maybe another jacket, some dresses and party clothes. But then I can't bring alot of stuff with me there in the first place, or if I do they'll have to be left there when I return to London. So what clothes don't I want anymore? Jesus I love all my stuff, I already sacrified half my closet when I moved here in September. We'll see what happens.

I can't sleep, which is why I'm blogging when I don't really have anything new or exciting to write about. It's almost 4:30 in the morning but I just can't sleep. It's New Years Eve' today.
In less than 24 hours it will be yet another year. Tick-tock. I want to change the world.
Well I better turn off my laptop and at least rest my eyes even if my mind is reeling.
NIGHTY!

trouble melts like lemon drops

I overslept today, yes it is possible to oversleep despite not having work or school.
Let us rewind a few days back.

On wednesday I went to Ability Towers to have christmas dinner with my two friends. We got drunk, cooked food that could have been a whole lot better had they actually listened to me and waited to do the grocery shopping (lettuce is supposed to be fresh so I do not understand in any way, how or why they bought frozen lettuce for our salad, moronic guys)
One of the guys didn't listen to us and drank beer even after having vodka shots, we warned him that he would throw up, and lo' and behold he did. I laughed a lot. I felt bad for him but it was all so stupid, three studens all alone in London with a barely edible christmas dinner and one of them ends up hugging porcelain, the other just keeps eating and the third is tripping around the flat in her too damn high heels. Eventually my procelain hugger went to bed and we put on our Santa hats and walked around in Angel just shouting Merry Christmas to pretty much everyone that didn't look as if they'd stab us if we talked to them ( some guys we're cursing and breaking bottles against a wall, yikes) We got a group hug from a group of guys, got shouted at and then ended up in a church. Then we walked home, talked about how women and men keep misunderstanding each other and slept.

I had to spend thursday there too since there were no transportation at all during christmas day, this day I cooked and the food tasted a bit better and then we drank and watched comedy shows until around 3 am when we went to bed. On friday we, porcelain-lover and I, woke up and went to our own flats around 9:30 in the morning. Then met up at Westfeilds where he bought a jacket and I finally bought my New Years Eve' dress, very short, very pink. I love it.
I went to bed around midnight, got a text from Mr Tube "Hello!" around 3 am.
I didn't bother to answer. Then got another one from Mr Boring Date " You still up?" around 5 am.
Then I answered Mr Tube " Hello to you too" and fell asleep. Didn't wake up until 1 pm.

And now it's too late to go to the Natural History Museum like I had planned. Been drinking too much and not getting enough sleep these past days and now NHM had to pay for it.

I'm updating a lot lately. It could be because my roomates aren't here so I don't have anyone to blurt out everything to, or it could be because I simply have warmed up a bit to the blogging thing. The former is probably the truth.

Now my shower is waiting. Ciao

and I'm free fallin

Well here I am blogging again and it hasn't even been a week, I'm getting better at updating. Also I have no life since everyone has left London, they're back in their countries to celebrate Christmas with their close ones.

Okay so what have I been up to since Wednesday? Well I skipped school both Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday night I was bored so I texted my friend and she wanted to do something so I went to her flat and we got drunk and ate a lot of chocolate while watching Will&Grace dvds. Went to bed 4-5 am and the next morning she went to school and I went home because my classes didn't start until 15:40 and it was still around noon. Then I skipped the classes anyway. On Friday I did actually go to school, but by the time I was home I was exhausted and just stayed in watching movies and reading a book.

On Saturday I had a date with J, I figured I might as well just go on a date with the poor bloke since he has been nagging for a while and I was bored and thought "free drinks sure whatthehell!" I met him and we went to a pub close to my flat. The most boring date ever, no attraction whatsoever, he didn't have anything interesting to say, he didn't even make me laugh. I was actually more interested in the bartender than him. I was very close to sneak my number to the bartender but I thought that I'd just come back another night when I wasn't on a date.
Eventually the bar was closing and being the smart girl I am I had told my date earlier in the evening that I had made plans for a movienight with my friends the same night. So after around 90 minutes with him, 90 unbearable minutes. I said goodnight to him and walked home.
Then made plans with my friend and we met at Waterloo and went to Leicester Square and walked around with some wine and just talked. We ended up in Macdonalds. Which was filled with gay couples. It was great. The couple next to us were this really old guy with a young hot guy. BOYTOY. We chatted a bit with them. Also great service in this particular Macdonalds.
The guy asked me if I wanted medium or large meal and I said medium, then he gave me a large one anyway and when I asked why he said because I like you. Sweet fellow.

I was supposed to go to Brick Lane on Sunday but it didn't work out. I'm going next weekend instead. And today I went to Bond Street. Because on Saturday night after Macdonalds we were walking to our bus stop when two guys asked us to take their picture with the tree in Trafalgar Square. So we started chatting and then they wanted us to be IN the picture and asked a girl who was sitting with her friend to take the picture and it turned out that the girl was from the same country that I'm from. So I chatted with her and we exchanged numbers and she told be to stop by where she works on Monday.
So I went there today and talked with her gave her my CV and while I'm chatting with her I met a guy from school. We ended up going to Westfeild togheter and afterwards we had dinner at a nice italian restaurant. But afterwards when I was waiting for my bus in Waterloo I thought it's only 21 the night is still young so I texted a friend from Ability Towers and went to his flat there. Three guys there just chilling and I spent some time with them. They had the TV on and it was a movie with Josh Hartnett. That made me think of the hottie whom lives in Ability Towers and we we're always wanting to go out togheter but it never worked out because of our lives. And then I moved out of Ability Towers and didn't get a chance to tell him about it so I went up to his flat.
Loud music..I thought well he's probably having a party. I knocked once. No answer.
I considered going back and not intruding but then I knocked a second time and he opened.
In trousers and totally shirtless. YUMMIE! He invited me in and he was all alone, just having loud music and he told me that he just got back from a ski-trip to Italy. And that he was leaving tomorrow to spend Christmas with his family in USA. Good timing there for moi.
We talked some and he told me he was coming back the 30th and I said oh cool then maybe we could do something for New Years togheter and he said Yeah I have tickets to Bond Ball at Kensington Hotel which is this huge New Years Eve' party and he told be he had an extra ticket and that I'm welcome to join him. HELL YES! Perfect offer. And with the ticket comes a hotel room so I don't have to worry about getting home safely so it is PERFECT.

I went up to just tell him that I moved and maybe get his number but ended up with great plans for New Years Eve' with a hottie at a great hotel.

Now I'm in a great mood. But I need sleep. So Goodnight!

melted into many forms

I'm alive.

Not that anyone cares but I just thought I should mention it.
It's been 3 weeks since I updated. Alot has happened.

1. My teacher quit, been emailing with him a bit. He is doing good. Happy for him. Our new teacher is fine. He has a different way of teaching but it is still fun and I don't have any complaints.

2. I found a flat. I know, miracles do happen appearantly. I saw an ad on gumtree for the flat and called to get a viewing and then when we saw it I fell in love. One of the girls I was supposed to share the flat with backed out in the last minute and we had to get someone else so it was a bit crazy but it all worked out in the end. I got the keys for the flat the day before I had to move out of the residence. Close call there.

3. I met a guy(s). Okay so 3 weeks ago when I was walking back home to the residence a guy, J stopped me and said the wanted to take me out for drinks. Sure says I. Few days after that I'm sitting in the tube with my friends after we've viewed a flat when I see this gorgeous guy on the other side of the tube. I keep looking at him and notice that he is looking back. So after 20-30 minutes I decide I'm going to give him my number. So when we get off the train at the same stop I run after him and tap his shoulder and introduce myself. He, lets call him B asks for my number and off I go.
Two days after that I've been working and my friends and I are waiting for the darn bus when we decide that if the bus doesn't come in 10 minutes we'll just take a cab and fuck the price. 10 minutes later still no bus so we stand up to go when our bus comes. Yay. We get on and after 2 stops in Oxford a fellow comes tripping up the stairs. I laugh at him because I am evil, he smiles back and me being the chatterbox I am can't keep my mouth shut and comment "too much drinking?" his reply is yes. Anyway I keep talking with my friends when he butts in our conversation and then asks if he can sit next to me and we have a nice chat and exchange numbers.
Meet some others but no one really interesting. J keeps calling and texting wanting to do something. I'm too busy and not interested enough for him. B keeps texting about meeting up for drinks but our lives are clashing so we always have to put it off. I did meet Mr. Bus twice. Went well but now I'm not so sure. Oh well London is a great city filled with fish waiting for me to catch them and turn them into a Mcfish.

4. My friend came to visit. Showed her London and we had a blast, got stalked by a guy named Charlie Hill the snitch. Tricked a guy from Malta to buy us drinks and food from KFC then we dumped his ass. A lot of shopping. I found my dreamdress for New Years Eve' and bought amazin' shoes. My friend enjoyed her trip and I think she fell in love with London too. But she has to back off London is my Lover.

5. I got hit by a B-celebrity. I went to the club with my friends and this B-celebrity (the guy that plays the gardener that is screwing Gabrielle in season 1 of Desperate Housewives) he is there too because it's his birthday. And I'm dancing close to the DJ area and one blonde bimbo is sitting on the desk there when he comes up and picks her up and almost drops her headfirst to the floor, except she doesn't hit the floor she knocks into me. My head hurt like HELL. I was very close to going up to him and chew him a new one but then I was too tired to argue with a B-celeb and especially on his birthday. He was very beautiful, jackass. He wore jeans I think and a white T-shirt. His smile was sooo bright and he hadn't shaved in a few days. Hot stuff.

That's an summary of my three weeks. Many, many more things have happened but do I have enough energy to write it all down? NO. Do you care? NO. So that is all for now. I'll try to update at least once a week from now. Try being the keyword here.

Until then. Kisses!

where disappointment and regret collides

The bruise on my arm looks awful. I look like a housewife that has gotten quite a beating..alright fine it’s not that bad but..still. *self-pity*

I got an answer from some guy about renting his flat. That's great. Except thing’s got weirder with every mail. First he claimed that he is in South Africa now on a "mission of God" then he told me to talk with his wife about the flat. So I emailed her and she claimed that she is in United States right now and had a horrible accident which has given her hearing problems as well as put her in a wheelchair. Then she wanted information about me like my full name and address, my parents address, my religion and whatnot. And she wrote that she would want 1 or 2 months deposit before she would even send the keys over from the US. I answered back that I'm still very interested in the flat but I would not give out my full name and personal information to a stranger online. And I wrote that I do have the money for the deposit but I will not pay that until after I've seen the flat. The bitch didn't answer. I mean I knew it was bullshit once the mails started being drenched in talk about God and all. Do people really think that someone will send their money over just like that? Who is idiotic enough to do that?

Other news, my English teacher is quitting. So we’ll get someone new. It can only go downhill I think (except if we get Thea because she’s great too). Most the teacher’s in our school are boring based on what I’ve seen and heard in their lectures. I know I shouldn’t be prejudiced but I can’t help it. I’m really going to miss being picked on by my teacher. At least he makes the classes interesting.

So now I’m dreading next week. Not only will I get a new teacher but I might be homeless too since I still haven’t found a flat and have to move out of the residence by Sunday. Things are certainly looking up, eh?

smoking chocolate

I am the biggest fuck-up in London.

We went to Vendome yesterday (amazing club, fabolous music and not too crowded like Amika was last weekend)

All was good, we come in and as usual get our drinks and just dance and have a great time.
Then around 3 am I feel tired so I sit next to my friend and according to her I told her I wanna sleep and then collapsed. Suddenly out of nowhere I'm lying on the (very clean and shiny) floor. The security takes me outside, of course a big group gathers around me. Some french guy (always the goddamn french I'm always surrounded by them) is a nurse and tries to check on me and then they call the ambulance and off I go, to spend my friday night/morning on a cold, uncomfortable bed all alone in my misery. GOOD JOB GIRLIE!

I came to my senses around 8 in the morning, tried calling my friends but no one answered so I just got dressed and took the tube home. Felt shaky in the tube so I sat on some stairs for a while and a man came up and asked if I was alright. Thank you stranger, for your therepeutic smile.

My arm (from my elbow to my armpit) is covered in awful bruises. The french nurse appearantly kept pinching me to make me talk. Sadistic french. But still Thank you for taking care of me when I couldn't.

My friends found some what they thought was sh*t yesterday and tried to smoke it. Appearantly it was just some old chocolate. So they smoked chocolate. Seems yesterday was a complete fuck-up day for us all.

Welcome to London

So..um..HI.
Well I should probably introduce myself and all that. I am Alexandra the Great. I moved here about two months ago, and so did most of my friends. This is my attempt at blogging about our lives here in the fantastic city called London.

First of all Welcome to London ( at least the London from my point of veiw)
Welcome to London is a phrase my friends and I always say whenever someone complains about London and the life here. Because during the first days all we heard was Welcome to London from pretty much everyone; teachers, londoners, the manager of my residence and so on.
So when one of us would complain about the weather, the heating, the food, the water, the tube etc. we would always say "welcome to London".

Mind the gap is also one of those things. We hear it everyday, at least 4+ times a day when we take the tube to wherever we're going. So basically we say it all the time and it's probably not very funny for anyone except us but we don't care we say it anyway.

London is dramatic. The life here is full of drama. Crazy people + crazy cultures mixed togheter with frequent visits to the pub = drama. But I'm not complaining. Drama is fun and although it gives me a headache sometimes, at least it keeps life interesting.

Well I dont know what else to write for now, its 8:30 in the morning and I haven't even gone to bed yet. I'll post some later, more about my friends and the things we have been up to during our 2 months here.

Goodnight...or should I say Goodmorning?
